Choosing a Cellular Phone Package
There are various things to keep in mind before you even start choosing a cell phone. Think about not only how much time you think you will spend on your new phone, but also what added benefits or even requirements that you may need to go along with your cellular phone plan. For example, in some states such as New York City, there is a law that you cannot drive and talk on a cell phone at the same time. A cell head phone or earpiece is acceptable. In short, you now not only have to think about a cell phone, but a complete cellular phone package.
A Complete Cell Phone Package Comes With Free Accessories
|
It's nice to purchase a free cellular phone with a service plan, but if you have to spend over $100 in cellular phone accessories, what did you actually save?
Many providers either discount or give away what they call a cellular phone starter kit with a free phone as long as you sign-up for a service plan of at least one year. The savings can be worth it. It this kit, a cellular phone service provider will include an earpiece (To get you around that pesky state driving law), a home battery charger, a car charge and or a belt clip. All of these accessories by themselves could cost you several dollars - find a provider that gives you them in a package.
After you find a cellular package that fits your needs and requirements, then think about what kinds of services you'll utilize when choosing cellular phone plans. Do you need text messaging, caller id or other features? Remember, some features are automatically included in your plan, and some you must pay extra for. Most, if not all carriers allow you to switch cellular features at any time. Call your carrier to cancel extra
options if you're not using them. Don't pay the extra cost for unwanted features.
